At Broughton in Furness CE Primary School, we believe that Design and Technology should be practical and inspiring. We provide pupils with the opportunity to design and make products using a variety of skills. The children are able to be creative and imaginative when solving problems and practising progressive skills throughout school. We offer a broad range of subject knowledge and rich vocabulary, drawing on other key subjects such as, science, engineering, mathematics, computing and art. Children feel confident to take risks in their learning, evaluating their own ideas. By researching past and present technologies, and meeting experts from our wider community, children are able to apply knowledge learnt across other areas of the curriculum.
